Depression, the world’s leading cause of disability

 

Depression is a common medical condition that is associated with emotional, cognitive, and physical symptoms. It affects more than 300 million people worldwide and less than half of the people affected by depression are treated1.

The WHO places depression as the leading cause of disability worldwide. Despite the high burden of depression on individuals and on society, many people with depression remain untreated1.

 

 

 

How to help your patient deal with Depression?
