About the event
Dr. Lavalle from Mexico and Dr. Ramos from Honduras discuss the most important goal in the management of patients with type 2 diabetes. Both agree on the need to achieve a strict HbA1c control to reduce the morbidity and mortality of patients with type 2 diabetes. The reason for this is that this control reduces the development and progression of all diabetes-related complications. In addition, these doctors highlight the need to avoid glycemic variability as it also has an influence on the development of cardiovascular, metabolic and renal complications.
