Dr. Jose Cardona CARDIOLOGIST PANAMA
Dr. Cardona graduated in Medicine from the University of Panama and obtained a Postgraduate Degree in Higher Teaching with teaching practice at the University of Panama/Santo Tomás Hospital in the Chair of Cardiology/Cardiology Service. He is an adviser of primary care protocols for arterial hypertension of the HEARTS program for the Pan American Health Organization and Teaching Coordinator of the Cardiology Service of the Santo Tomás hospital.
He has carried out research on the Risk of Cardiovascular Disease and bleeding associated with the use of oral anticoagulants in patients with atrial fibrillation evaluated in the outpatient clinic. In addition, he has carried out work on the clinical characteristics and pacemaker techniques of patients under follow-up at the pacemaker clinic of the Santo Tomás Hospital. In addition, Dr. Cardona has a PET-CT Regional Training Course in Quality Assurance in Nuclear Cardiology.
